(A)TORZIJA - STEFAN ARSENIJEVIC (2003)

Stefan Arsenijević is a Serbian director who was asked to direct the short film (A)TORZIJA based on a screenplay by Abdulah Sidran, who is also known for writing the screenplays The Dolly Bell and When Father Was Away on Business. Arsenijević studied at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and was recommended by his college professor. It is set during the war in Sarajevo in 1994, where a choir is waiting to pass through an underground tunnel to catch their flight to Paris to perform. As they wait, they end up taking part in an act to protect a farmer's livelihood. It won the Berlinale Golden Bear in 2003. His feature film Love And Other Crimes also debuted the Berlinale Film Festival 2008.
