OMNIBUS - SAM KARMANN (1992)

Omnibus, directed by Sam Karmann (a previous judge in our competition), won the Oscar, Palme d'Or and BAFTA during the 1992/1993 awards season, a feat that has yet to be repeated. It is a brilliant comedy about a Frenchman on a train that is longer stopping at the station near his work, and is thus desparately trying to convince first the conductor and then the driver to let him off so his life is not completely ruined. Karmann is now best known as an actor on French TV, for which he also continues to direct. If you like the all conquering Omnibus by the legendary Sam Karmann, be sure to rate it.
