REENCOUNTER - PABLO GIORGELLI (2012)

Reencounter is a short film by Argentinian director Pablo Giorgelli. A daughter, Anahí (Moro Anghileri) reconnects with her estranged father, (Germán de Silva) who lives in the countryside. Giorgelli made this subtle short film drama after his first feature film, Las Acacias, a road movie that won the Camera d'Or at Cannes in 2011. Las Acacias is as story of a lonely truck driver who agrees to take a stranger along his journey; a young single mother and her baby. In both these his films, family is a central theme. His visual style, directorial style, focus on intimate details in relationships and story-telling make his films very engaging and touching.
