BAT EYES - DAMIEN POWER (2012)

Inspired by the poetry of the famous Irish poet W. B. Yeats, Bat Eyes is a beautifully shot tale of young love and rememberence from Australia. Written by Jessica Bellamy and directed by Damien Power, Bat Eyes could be classed as a coming-of-age drama but is very subtle. It stands out because of the cinematography and the acting, both of which are exceptional. It is also beautifully graded. It begins with an unkown man having an eye test and being asked those tricky questions about whether a lens helps him see better. It is of course one giant metaphor and he soon recalls a romance from his school days. If you like Bat Eyes by Damien Power be sure to rate and share it!
