COWARD - DAVID RODDHAM (2012)
Directed by David Roddham, Coward focuses on the brutal treatment suffered by WWI soldiers suffering from what would now be called shell-shock. It follows two Northern Irish cousins, Andrew and James, who join the British Army to fight on the Western Front, hoping to make their families proud. However, the reality of trench warfare leads instead to ignomony. Coward is a war film that appears to have had a budget to die for, with a group of experienced filmmakers on board. Roddham works mostly as a special effects technician for major Hollywood films and it was executive produced by Ruairi Robinson, who had made The Silent City. Writing credits went to Roddham, Terry Donnelly, Steve Handley and Mark O'Halloran. If you like Coward by David Roddham be sure to rate and share it!
