LEG OF A SALESMAN - RYAN WILLIAMS (2025)
Written and directed by Ryan Williams, Leg Of A Salesman is an enjoyable black comedy with a great concept, strong acting, high production values, and slightly shaky plot. The story sees the never-do-well Henry offered the chance to inherit his grandfather's fortune if he can cut off his own leg with the hacksaw he wanted his grandfather to invest in. To its credit, the film wastes no time in introducing the plot, with everyone already aware of the task before we meet them in the probate lawyer's office. The shakiness exists in the conceit that no one - the lawyer, Henry or his aunt - has thought to ask who inherits the fortune if Henry fails. If you can forgive this poetic licence, it succeeds as the latest iteration of Roald Dahl's Man From The South. If you like the dark comedy Leg Of A Salesman be sure to rate it and share it.
