NIGHT FISHING - CHAN-WOOK PARK & CHAN-KYONG PARK (2011)

Written and directed by Chan-Wook Park (Old Boy, Handmaiden) and his brother Chan-Kyong Park, Night Fishing (Paranmanjang) won the Golden Bear at 2011 Berlinale.  Chan-Wook Park had already gained international acclaim as a feature film director when he asked his younger brother if he wanted to pursue their childhood dream of making films together and it is fair to say that its festival success has as much to do with his involvement as anything else. Inspired by Korean shamanism, it has a great idea at its heart but it does, admittedly, take a while to reach it. It you like Night Fishing (Paranmanjang) by Chan-kyong Park & Chan-wook Park be sure to rate it and share it.
