Written and directed by young American filmmaker John Robinson Irwin, Sold is a gripping thriller that was a semi-finalist in the 2012 Your Film Festival. Maya, a young Latino journalist investigating illegal immigrants, has ended up in the boot (trunk) of a car and in the grip of a human trafficking ring. Receiving help from a fellow captive seems unlikely as thie other woman is too scared to challenge the man who is driving the girls. The tension rises as we head towards a climactic end.
