THE GUILT - DAVID VICTORI (2010)

The Guilt (La Culpa) is an interesting and engaging thriller short film from the young Spanish filmmaker David Victori, which reminds me very much of one of the very first FILMSshort competition winners, The Stairway, by Alex Torterotot. The Guilt was filmed before The Stairway but not released until after Alex made her film (so it was serendipity and not plagiarism - unless they both copied someone else). The Guilt begins with the murder of a man's pregnant girlfriend and follows his quest for revenge. During this quest he learns that murder will leave you in an inescapable spiral of guilt.
