WARHOL - ADAM ETHAN CROW (2014)

Warhol was the joint winner in the 10th FILMSshort competition and, although set in New York, was written and directed by the British filmmaker Adam Ethan Crow. The winner of many awards on the festival circuit, this short dramatic thriller tells the story of the quick-witted but fading shock-jock Dave Dawson (Corey Johnson) who, having been consigned to a late night slot, is desparate to prove himself. His producer has to babysit the renegade broadcaster but finds himself unable to stop things getting out of control when a young caller rings in pretending to be a hardened criminal, just as an intruder is breaking into the kid's house.
