PETER AND BEN - PINNY GRYLLS (2008)

Peter and Ben by Pinny Grylls is a lovely, low-key documentary about a hermit (the eponymous Peter) who has left society behind and hidden himself away in the Welsh countryside only to end up living with a sheep (the eponymous Ben). Despite his protestations that the sheep should live amongst his own kind, it is clear that Peter enjoys his presence. It is also amazing how much like a dog a sheep will act if given the chance - so the next time the omnivores out there are tucking into a lamb chop please spare a thought for Ben and how sentient an aminal he is! Despite its Welsh setting, it was supported by Film London through their successful London Calling scheme. If you like the short documentary Peter and Ben be sure to rate it and share it.
