THE LOST THING - ANDREW RUHEMANN & SHAUN TAN (2010)

The Lost Thing won the Best Short Animation Oscar in 2011. It comes from a story book by Australian author Shaun Tan, who was heavily involved in the production of this short alongside British producer and animator Andrew Ruhemann. It follows the story of a boy who finds a "lost thing" on the beach - a bit like a large octopus stuck in an even larger teapot, it acts like a puppy. The problem is that it is lost, so the boy takes it home with him. However, this cannot last and the lost thing must be taken and left elsewhere. If you like The Lost Thing, rate and share it!
